Preparations underway for Focus/25 at London’s DCCH.

Since our last update, Alice – founder of Sgrinhouse, has been hard at work bringing her creative vision to life. What began as an inspiring brainstorming session between our team and Alice back in spring has blossomed into something truly special – The Perfect Collaboration: Sgrinhouse x Audrey Johns Ltd We gathered together to imagine what a collaboration between Sgrinhouse and Audrey Johns could bring to Focus/25 at London’s Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour.

The result is a showcase we are incredibly proud to be part of. Running 15^th September – 16^th October 2025, the event will provide the perfect stage for this partnership.

Alice has been immersed in the creative process, refining ideas and translating her inspirations into tangible designs that will feature at the show. The collaboration promises to highlight not only the beauty of bespoke soft furnishings but also the power of combining artistry with technical expertise.

As the exhibition approaches, our teams and Alice are working side by side, finalising details and ensuring the display reflects both artistry and timeless craftsmanship. This collaboration is about celebrating design and creativity.

Macmillan Coffee Morning – Friday 26^th September (10 am – 1 pm or until the cake runs out!)

As involvement in our local community is really important to us, we’d like to invite all our customers again to support our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning. Last year we raised over £1000 for Macmillan Cancer Support (and who can’t resist good cakes!) so come and join us for delicious coffee and a selection of lip-smacking home-made cakes in the Showroom and The Remnant Room.

Audrey Johns Ltd has also very generously offered to donate the proceeds of any Remnant Room sales made that day to the charity.

Look at Luigi!

Luigi – the large, Fiat Ducato Audrey Johns delivery van – regularly travels up and down the M4 between our Pembrokeshire headquarters and our London office. “It’s a great opportunity for promoting the business”, says Ben of Ben Powell Design, one of our trusted partners for branding and graphic design.

Having recently designed the look and feel of the new Audrey Johns website, Ben found the brief refreshingly straightforward: “Let’s add Audrey Johns’ branding to Luigi. Keep it clean, simple, distinctive, and include a clear call to action in the form of a branded QR code.”

Working with Signspeed in Carew, near Tenby, Ben produced graphics for the van’s sides and rear. “Not everyone realises that QR codes themselves can be branded. It just required a subtle tweak to the existing Audrey Johns identity – adding ‘AJ – the initials of our founder,” explains Ben.

We’re excited that you will soon spot it across our social media channels and on Luigi as he makes his way through the UK on deliveries. Keep an eye out, and send us a photo if you catch Luigi on the move!
