Alice Smith – founder of Sgrinhouse, has spent the last few weeks away from her role as a fabric cutter with Audrey Johns Ltd. Instead, she has been beavering away at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. The Perfect Collaboration: Sgrinhouse x Audrey Johns Ltd is enjoying a month-long run at Focus/25. On until 16^th October 2025, the event provides the perfect stage for this partnership.

Alice has immersed herself in the creative process, refining ideas and translating her inspirations into tangible designs featured at the show. Audrey Johns Ltd’s collaboration with her highlights not only the beauty of our bespoke soft furnishings but also the power of combining artistry with technical expertise. This collaboration, which Audrey Johns Ltd is very proud to support, is about celebrating textile designing and creativity.

But if you can’t make it in person to the exhibition… You can see it for yourself in all its glory in our Brunel Quay Showroom, where a pop-up exhibition of Sgrinhouse’s display will be available for all to visit (Saturday 1^st – Friday 14^th November 2025).

Sgrinhouse Wins Prestigious Homes and Gardens Design Award!

Dale-based design studio Sgrinhouse has been named Best Newcomer Fabric Design 2025 by Homes & Gardens magazine for its hand-printed fabric, Flags. Founded by 28-year-old Alice Smith, the brand is already making waves with its playful, art-inspired approach to interiors.

The award was announced during Alice’s debut exhibition at Focus/25 On Design in Chelsea, where her work has captured the attention of designers, journalists, and industry leaders. Alice said that to be recognised by one of the world’s leading interior magazines is an exciting milestone for Sgrinhouse.

Audrey Johns Ltd has supported Alice on her journey. Director George Johns has congratulated her well-deserved achievement, noting the excitement her work has generated among both new and long-standing clients for now and the future.

Macmillan Coffee Morning Success!

Thanks to every member of our wonderful staff and local community of coffee and cake consumers who visited us at the Showroom on Friday, 26^th September! We held a very successful coffee morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. Plenty of homemade cakes and sausage rolls were enjoyed with coffee while we all happily raised over a very admirable £600 for the charity’s annual event, including all proceeds from The Remnant Room.

Luigi At Large!

Have you spotted Luigi yet?

He is our large, Fiat Ducato delivery van with a lovely new Audrey Johns design. Bogdan, our driver, makes a weekly run along the M4 delivering the soft finishings made on our own premises in Neyland, to our installation team working in London and the Home Counties. 

High Street interior designers across the country who choose our white glove delivery service will also be receiving their items, hand-delivered in Luigi the van, ensuring everything is in pristine condition and delivered at exactly the right time.
