When Flo Armitage isn’t using her talent to make beautiful curtains for Audrey Johns, you’ll find her tucked away in her very own Pembrokeshire studio creating unique bags, hats, headbands, scrunchies and children’s clothes – all practical items that are lovingly made by hand to stand out from the crowd.
Flo’s love for sewing began at home, watching her Mum work wonders with fabric and her trusty sewing machine. That passion for textile designing led her to a Textiles Design degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University, becoming a professional seamstress of 10 years standing. Starting ‘Stitched By Flo‘ was the natural next step – a chance to combine her love for sewing with the joy of creating something truly one-of-a kind. Her work reflects the creativity and craftsmanship inspired by modern textile designing trends.
So impressed with the quality and style of Flo’s work, our very own director Jane Johns purchased a weekend travel bag from Flo during our recent Open Day. The very next day, the bag was on the road with Jane, heading to Dorchester for an overnight stay on the way to meet a new customer in Dorset. We say – ‘We love Flo, her work is incredible – Highly Recommended’.

Guests also got a first look at our new Bramblecrest outdoor furniture. Available to order from our Neyland showroom from this summer, the range pairs perfectly with our handcrafted outdoor cushions, created by our skilled cushion makers – stylish, comfortable, and built to last.

Congratulations to an outstanding member of the Audrey Johns team. Seamstress Lowri Hancock successfully took part and completed this year’s London Marathon in 4 hours and 12 minutes, raising over £23,000 for her chosen charity Brain Tumour Research by the time she’d reached the finish line.
