Keep Your Cool This Summer with Roman Blinds and Curtains

Even with the UK’s heat wave, you can keep your cool with Audrey Johns’ window coverings.

As temperatures rise, keeping your home comfortable can become a challenge. One simple and stylish solution is installing Roman blinds or curtains. When lowered or closed during the hottest part of the day, they help block direct sunlight from entering your rooms, reducing heat build-up and keeping interiors cooler. Thermal-lined Roman blinds and curtains can be even more effective, providing an extra layer of insulation against the summer heat. (They also keep your home warmer during the winter months, but nobody wants to hear about that just now…)

There are plenty of other ways to keep your home cool too. Opening windows during the cooler morning and evening hours, using fans to improve air circulation, opening the loft hatch, and keeping heat-generating appliances switched off when not in use can all make a noticeable difference. Houseplants can also help create a cooler indoor environment by increasing humidity and improving air quality.

By combining practical cooling measures with attractive window treatments from Audrey Johns Showroom, you can enjoy a more comfortable home throughout the summer months while keeping energy costs under control too.
