‘Alice’ is the newest piece to come from Planted – made in partnership with Sgrinhouse, and named after its founder Alice Smith. The chair carries the fabric ‘Stripes’ across a frame built the same way every Planted piece is: by hand, with time-honoured techniques, and nothing hidden in how it’s made.
Alice said of this project: “What a great moment to have a chair named after me! We are proudly introducing our first collaboration which came about as a result of being at ‘Focus/25 On Design’ at Design Centre in Chelsea. The Alice is built upon the shared belief of traditional skill, applied with a modern eye and one of many future joint projects with designers.”
